Membership

Our only requirement for membership is that you be single. The membership rate is $129 for the first year and $89 for renewal. Payment can be made by check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card. As a Chicago member, you are welcome to participate in the activities of other chapters.

Dinner/Event Reservations

Reservations are accepted 24 hours a day by phone (773) 772-3535, fax (773) 276-8666, mail (to 2920 W. Grand Avenue, Suite 100, Chicago, IL 60622) or e-mail (info@singlegourmetchicago.com). To allow the restaurant to better serve our group, we ask that reservations and payments be made approximately one week prior to the event date. If reservations need to be made sooner do to event availability or the popularity of a restaurant, this fact is typically stated in the newsletter. In most cases, we can accept reservations even after the due date with the approval of the restaurant.

Last-Minute Reservations

If you have not reserved for an event and discover that you are free and would like to join us, please call our office at (773) 772-3535. We will always try to accommodate you.

Event Payments

Single Gourmet accepts payment by check (typically due one week prior), Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card. The price for each event is listed in the newsletter (and calendar of events online) and typically includes the full meal, tax and gratuity. Sometimes beverages or other services may also be included as described in the event write-up. In most cases alcoholic beverages are not included. However, the restaurant would be happy to take your order and bill you accordingly.

Travel Reservations

To place reservations, please contact Single Gourmet for a booking form. Then, return the completed form to our office along with your payment. Deposit, final payment due dates and cancellation policies are listed on the booking form.

Guest Policy

Members are welcome to bring one or more guests on a space available basis. There is a $10 surcharge above the cost of the event for each guest which can be applied towards membership. In all fairness to our members, we ask that no one bring the same guest to more than one event. Of course, we would warmly welcome them to become members.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are accepted up to 7 days before the dinner/event. Any payment made is credited to your account to be applied toward an upcoming event of your choice. Credits must be used within a two month period from the date of cancellation. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are credited only if a replacement can be found. If you reserve for an event and cannot attend, please call to cancel. Even a last minute cancellation can often be credited if we can find a replacement from our waiting list.

We reserve the right to cancel a membership at any time due to inappropriate behavior.
